Spotlight on Nursing Week 2025

Nursing Week 2025 took place May 12 to 18 with the theme: Celebrating nursing action and impact. This year, RNAO took a different approach to planning by requesting ideas from members interested in leading keynote presentations and panel discussions. More than 70 members submitted proposals, and 18 were selected.

The lineup of in-person and virtual events – hosted in some cases by RNAO's president, past-president and CEO and in other cases by staff and/or members – featured a range of topics to pique the interest of every nurse and nursing student. They included: championing equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in nursing and health care; global health; nurses running for elected office; support for internationally educated nurses; reducing disparities in care; NP, RN and RPN collaborative practice; and more. All of the events and poster presentations are listed on RNAO’s Nursing Week portal.
