Toronto municipal councillor and board of health chair Joe Cressy (left), along with the city’s medical officer of health Eileen de Villa (right), visited RNAO CEO Doris Grinspun on Sept. 19, the same day the pair made public their recommendation that the province consider preventing parents from exempting their children from vaccines on philosophical or religious grounds. Their recommendation was passed by the board of health on Sept. 23.
