She enjoys downhill skiing.

During the pandemic, she built a camp on the shores of Lake Superior near Thunder Bay.
Nurse practitioner Mae Katt shares some of the challenges and successes she experienced on her path to becoming the clinician she is today.  With 40 years of nursing experience, Katt says watching the students she has cared for and supported graduate from high school is something that makes her proud. At Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School in Thunder Bay, she not only assesses students and prescribes medication, but also supports them in their education and their mental wellness journey as they overcome challenges unique to being Indigenous students.
