Before she took on her current role as senior director of evidence-based practice integration at Toronto’s Humber River Hospital, Nataly Farshait spent a decade teaching nursing students at Seneca College. When she’d run into her students after they’d transitioned to practice, they would often complain that the evidence-based practices they’d learned in school hadn’t been adopted in the workplace. So when Farshait was offered a position in 2016 that would allow her to implement best practice guidelines (BPG) across various specialties, she jumped at the chance.
