John Edwards has always been a storyteller. A natural performer, the RN and secretary of RNAO’s Rainbow Nursing Interest Group (RNIG) initially went to school for musical theatre, receiving his diploma from Sheridan College in 2001. In 2005, he decided to become a registered massage therapist after some informal practice with massage (through his dance training) piqued his interest. He referred to this as his ‘side gig’ at the time, common among working performers who need a way to supplement their income.
